Professional Builder names Stylecraft Builders a 2011 Housing Giant

For the 41st year in a row, Professional Builder magazine has issued its annual list of homebuilder leaders. We’re excited that Stylecraft Builders made the publication’s Annual Report of America’s Housing Giants. The list is the result of extensive research into the industry and identified the top 400 builders across the United States.

Inclusion on the list of Housing Giants is based on the total number of closings in the previous year. That list is then sorted according to annual revenue to determine a homebuilder’s actual rank. Stylecraft Builders earned number 156, with 250 closings and $36 million in sales in 2010. With national companies that close on thousands of homes each year—the top five companies totaled 64,409 closings last year—we’re in good company on this list. We’re thankful for our homebuilding success in the Bryan-College Station market here in Texas, and for the recognition that America’s Housing Giants gives to our efforts.

Our feeling is that being biggest doesn’t mean the best. So, Stylecraft Builders focuses on meticulous attention to detail, providing our buyers with optimum value, and building homes that exceed expectations. Our most rewarding list is the growing one of satisfied customers who are living in one of our new homes!

And kudos to Habitat for Humanity International! This non-profit organization builds affordable homes for needy and deserving people. Last year, they accomplished that goal 6,032 times, which earned it the 25th spot on the list of Housing Giants.

If you’re considering moving to the Bryan-College Station area, please come and talk to us. We’re proven specialists in our community and welcome the opportunity to guide you toward the home you’ve been dreaming of!

Stylecraft Builders celebrates 25 years with $2,500 in free upgrades

A 25th anniversary is an important event—no matter what you’re celebrating। At Stylecraft Builders, we’re thrilled to reach our 25-year mark. The company was established in 1986 by Randy French, here in Bryan-College Station, Texas, where he was born and raised. Randy has guided the business from humble beginnings of four homes in the first year to 200 annually, making Stylecraft Builders the largest homebuilder in the Brazos Valley.

The growth is the result of Randy’s commitment to serving the needs of his hometown community’s residents। From individual homes to planned communities, Stylecraft Builders pays attention to every detail so that quality resonates inside and out.

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are giving $2,500 in upgrades at no additional charge. Every buyer who extends a full-price offer by August 31, 2011 can take advantage of this incentive. Upgrade your cabinetry, appliances, countertops, or flooring, for example. Add a tiled backsplash, crown molding, or backyard sod. Expand the dimensions of a room. Here is your chance to think even bigger!

If you’re considering buying a home, consider the advantages of getting exactly what you want (with full warranty) which only a new home can provide. And, with our 25th anniversary $2,500 free upgrade offer, you can get even more home for your money. Talk to us about your vision, and let us help you create the home of your dreams!

Millennials are the next generation of new home buyers.

While it used to be uncommon for a person under the age of 30 to own a home, particularly as a single person, Millennials, also known as Generation Y, are showing every indication that they are bucking the old trend. More of them live with their parents longer, in order to save money for that big investment. This group of 77 million young people (born between 1980 and 2000) is even larger than the 76 million Baby Boomers who dominated America’s cultural shifts for the past 40 years.

According to a study by Lachman Associates for the Urban Land Institute, more Millennials are planning to become homeowners by 2015. Thirty-six percent of the 18- to 32-year-olds surveyed already own homes, and 67 percent plan to purchase one in the next four years. And interestingly, this generation seems happy with their current location. Most respondents want to live in places that are close to their families and like those where they grew up.

The other criteria for Millennials’ future homes are:

  • Purchase price
  • Interior space and square footage
  • Building security
  • Amenities
  • Eco-friendly features

With housing prices and mortgage rates still low, incentives for first-time homeowners, and the opportunity to save money while living with family, Millennials are in the ideal position to seek homeownership. Those of us in the home building industry need to recognize that this generation of homeowners is different than their parents. They are more technically savvy and do their homework, which is much easier because they access their networks and online resources. Plus, they are more willing to relocate so up-and-coming areas will be more appealing.

If you’re interested in exploring life in the area that Forbes named #3 on its list of “The Best Small Cities for Jobs”, talk to us at Stylecraft Builders about a new and affordable home।
