I’ve blogged before about the strong state of the Texas economy but I had to share with you a recent report that popped up in Forbes. The July 11 issue featured an article entitled, “The Next Big Boom Towns in the U.S.” Of the ten cities cited, four are in Texas:

According to the article, “Aided by relatively low housing prices and buoyant economies, these Lone Star cities have become major hubs for jobs and families.” The study reviewed 52 of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. and evaluated them according to the past, present, and future vitality. Criteria included job growth, family formation (percentage growth in children ages 5 to 17), growth in educated migration, population growth, and attractiveness to immigrants to settle, make money, and start new business ventures.
