Celebrate Killeen/Harker Heights/Ft. Hood!
There are many things to celebrate in the Killeen/Harker
Heights/Ft. Hood area. From the ever growing economy that includes a new Scott
and White Health Care Clinic, to the educational opportunities including Texas
A&M University Central Texas, to Fort Hood; and don’t forget, the desirable
communities that offer stylish and affordable new homes featuring Stylecraft Builders! It’s no
wonder this booming city feels the need to celebrate with the annual,
“Celebrate Killeen Festival.”
This annual festival will take place April 26th-28th.
The festivities begin with a kick-off party located at the Killeen Arts &
Activities Center on Thursday at 5:00. There will be free refreshments, craft
vendors, an antique car show, farmer’s market, and live music from The Funk
Factory. There will also be a carnival that will be open each day of the
festival.
On Friday night, come prepared to dance the night away as The
GTO’s perform some of the greatest hits ranging from the days of the sock hop
to the big-hair era of the 80’s.
Saturday is the pinnacle of the celebration. There will be
activities galore including, a 5K race, craft and food vendors, KISD Wellness
Fair, car show, BBQ cook-off, children’s arts and crafts, hay rides, bouncies,
petting zoo, pony rides, static displays, and more! The culminating activity
will be a movie in the park showing of “Iron Man 2.”
