Holiday Fun in Killeen, Fort Hood, and Harker Heights – Stylecraft Builders



Stylecraft Builders homeowners living in the community of Yowell Ranch in the Killeen/Fort Hood/Harker Heights area have a chance to participate in an action packed day full of holiday fun. The Celebrate Killeen Committee is hosting the annual “Holiday Under the Stars” event at the Killeen Community Center Saturday, December 1st.

The celebration begins bright and early at 8 a.m. with the Jingle Bell 5K Dash and Breakfast in Toyland. At 10 a.m., the festivities continue and fun abounds with ice skating, bounce houses, hayrides, arts and crafts for children, a petting zoo, arts & crafts booths, food vendors and more! Finally, the much anticipated arrival of Santa himself and the tree lighting will occur at 6 p.m. This special day culminates with a movie in the park showcasing “Arthur Christmas.”

Being Fit is Fun in Killeen/Fort Hood/Harker Heights - Stylecraft Builders



As the temperature drops and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season revs up, even the most devout health conscious may struggle to maintain pesky workouts. Yowell Ranch residents in the Killeen/Fort Hood/Harker Heights area are just minutes from the Killeen Community Center where fun and creative alternatives to traditional workouts abound!

Adventure and lively music await those who participate in the Salsa Dancing, Belly Dancing, and Line Dancing classes. Trendy Zumba classes are also available where students will definitely have fun getting fit while they dance and workout to choreographed routines.  Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do classes incorporate self-defense and martial arts.  For those who prefer something a little more traditional there are several classes that offer Yoga, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Aerobics. There may not be time to squeeze in a “workout” during this busy time of year, but everyone has time to fit a little fun into their schedule, especially if it will help you rationalize eating that second helping of turkey!
