Green Avenue Farmers Market in Killeen/Fort Hood



With the holidays quickly approaching, thoughts of delicious homemade food and meals can make anyone’s stomach grumble. Stylecraft residents in Yowell Ranch of the Killeen/Harker Heights/Fort Hood area have the opportunity to give their holiday dishes an upper hand by cooking with fresh, local produce. Every Tuesday and Friday from 3:00-6:00 pm and Saturday from 3:30-5:00 pm, the Killeen Area Growers Association sponsors the Green Avenue Farmers Market. 

This is the perfect time of year to spend an afternoon with friends and family browsing and strolling through this quaint environment while visiting with the local farmers who have grown the food and produce. Visitors can expect fresh vegetables, specialty foods, and plants year round as well as hand-crafted items with outstanding workmanship. Some of the vegetables in season include: tomatoes, okra, peppers, squash, melons, winter squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, eggplant, and radishes.

Don’t miss the opportunity to spend an enjoyable afternoon at the Farmers Market stocking up on the freshest ingredients that will make your holiday dish the talk of the table!
